Announcing our first ever WHY Award Recipient: Kyle Millizer

We sat down with Kyle to learn more about him. When did you start at HP, and what was your first role with the company? January 2016. CNC Machining. When you are not at work, what are some of your favorite things to do? Spend time with my daughter and my wife. Whenever I’m not doing that I’m driving my mustang, working in the garage or playing some video games. Kyle’s Most fond memory with HP thus far: Getting to go to St. Louis to be part of the group that came up with our company’s WHY statement. It was just incredible to be a part of something so important and to get to meet and spend time with people from all areas of our company including our Denmark teammates.   Congratulations to Kyle on being selected as the first ever WHY Award recipient!

HawkeyePedershaab and New Hampton Metal Fab Join Forces

The two have combined to provide greater solutions to the concrete market. HawkeyePedershaab Concrete Technologies, Inc. expands its presence in the pre-cast concrete equipment market with the announcement today that it has acquired New Hampton Metal Fabrication Corp. New Hampton Metal Fab marks the first acquisition for HawkeyePedershaab since partnering with BW Forsyth Partners last September. A market leader in the Pipe and Precast concrete industry, New Hampton Metal Fab designs and manufactures molds for manholes, boxes, pipes and a variety of other specialty forms and equipment. New Hampton Metal Fab is headquartered in New Hampton, IA and is led by Jamie and Nick Wegner who will both remain with the combined company and lead its wet-cast division that will retain the New Hampton Metal Fab name. “We are thrilled to be joining forces with HawkeyePedershaab and to work with such a respected company,” stated Jamie Wegner, President of New Hampton Metal Fab. “Combining our two companies will draw on decades of experience to push the boundaries of innovation and remain focused on delivering outstanding customer service to the industries we serve. HawkeyePedershaab promotes Brad Schmidgall to the role of President

He will lead the company's sales, engineering, and service groups. HawkeyePedershaab Concrete Technologies, Inc., the leading global manufacturer of capital equipment for the production of concrete pipe and manholes, is proud to announce that Brad Schmidgall has been promoted to the role of President. In this position, he will lead the company’s sales, engineering and service groups, working alongside Ryan Gable, HawkeyePedershaab CEO and BW Forsyth Partners Managing Director, in St. Louis. Schmidgall joined HawkeyePedershaab 16 years ago. During his tenure, he has worked out of both the Iowa and Denmark offices, and has been an integral part of various departments, including engineering, marketing and sales. He most recently served as the Executive Vice President of Sales. “Brad’s varied experience and proven success with HawkeyePedershaab, along with his alignment with BW Forsyth Partners’ people-centric vision, makes him the ideal person to fill this role,” said Gable. “We feel very fortunate to promote an internal candidate who knows the business and the team as well as Brad does, and who will be able to offer valuable strategic direction and enrich our customers’ trust.” BW Forsyth Partners acquired HawkeyePedershaab in September 2016. HawkeyePedershaab, Inc. Welcomes Matt Childs, P.E.

Matt Childs_CroppedBrad Schmidgall assumes role of Executive Vice President of Sales HawkeyePedershaab is excited to announce the addition of Matt Childs to its sales team. He will serve as Vice President of Sales in charge of the North American market. With over 20 years in the infrastructure industry, Matt’s expertise and leadership will be invaluable as HawkeyePedershaab continues to grow. Matt earned his BBA from Baylor University and a bachelor’s and master’s in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. Before joining the ACPA in 2000, Matt worked as project engineer and project manager with two engineering firms in Fort Worth dealing with infrastructure design, market development and recruiting. Matt served the ACPA as Director of Engineering Services before becoming President in August, 2005. During his tenure, Matt has led the expansion and reach of the ACPA into all corners of the USA, and he is influential in concrete pipe industries in several countries. As president, Matt recruited one of the best technical teams in the industry to help producer members expand market share. With Matt assuming the role of Vice President of Sales in North America, Brad Schmidgall has been promoted to the role of Executive Vice President of Sales in charge of developing HawkeyePedershaab's global sales strategies. Matt lives in Flower Mound, Texas with his wife of 21 years and their two children, Sarah and Ben.
